OK, so everyone's being bugging me to update my blog. . . so I figure I better get on it. I know, I'm so bad, but I've been working a lot lately and when I'm done working for the day, I feel like throwing my computer out the door and running over it with my car!! I'm sure there are others of you out there who know what I'm talking about! :) Well, then again maybe not, because everyone out there is so good about keeping everything up to date, their houses are perfect and their kids are entertained. I don't know know how anyone does it! I get so exhausted from my day-to-day stuff that all I want to do is just chill out in front of the TV and fall asleep rather than do anything else productive, creative or anything else that uses my mind. Anyway, so I've been taking tons of pix lately and I actually do have a lot to "blog" about. Hopefully this one won't be my last for a while.
I was sitting at my computer sorting through my emails and I looked up to see Audrey in my laundry basket which had a bunch of stuff in it that all needs to go upstairs (rather than taking several trips up, I try to make only 1). Apparently, Alyssa had put her in there, with her "Bo" the bear on top and was pushing her around or giving her a "ride". The basket was full of blankets and she looked so cute all snugly like she was part of my laundry or something. She was having fun with Alyssa pushing her around.
So on that note, let me just say that I am so glad I have 2 kids who get along so well (knock on wood). Seriously, growing up, all I remember is me and Sam fighting all the time. Alyssa and Audrey NEVER fight. I know, they're still young, so there's still time for that, and I'm sure they will have their moments, but they LOVE each other. Audrey gets so excited when she wakes up before Alyssa and sees her walking down stairs. Yesterday Alyssa had fallen asleep on the couch in the afternoon and Audrey was walking around - didn't know what to do with herself, so she kept walking by Alyssa, tilting her head trying to look her in the face. When she couldn't get her attention, she climbed up on the couch and layed down on top of her. I so wish I had a picture of that, it was the cutest thing. I looked over at her and she just stayed there laying down smiling. BUT Audrey is not the only who loves her big sister, Alyssa LOVES Audrey too. She really takes care of her and watches out for and when it's time for Audrey to take a nap or go to bed, she gets upset cuz she doesn't want Audrey to cry. Alyssa is very sensitive - for instance, if someone hits her and it doesn't hurt, she cries cuz her feelings are hurt (ya, it's soooo annoying - but not my point). Anyway, so Audrey being a youngen' will "hit" her (really she's just tapping her cuz that's what she does with her hands). So Alyssa will come tell me "Mommy, Audrey's hitting me." and I'll say "I'm sorry, do you want me to hit her back?" And she starts whining a "NO!" and I say, "Why not?" and she says, "because that will make her sad!" It's so cute, so now I just wonder why the heck she tells me about it. I know when I was a kid (I was brutal), if Sam did something to me and I wanted to tattle, it was because I wanted him to get in trouble. Anyway, it's nice to have them get along and play and love each other. It makes it so much easier that way (still isn't easy though - AHHHH the messes they make!)
Ok, so I think that's it for now. Hope to blog again soon! he he!
